But if you strip away the routine commercial flights and run anomaly algorithms on the raw telemetry, the airspace above us looks completely unhinged.

I used Claude to build a tool that pulls raw, unedited ADS-B transponder data straight from satellites in real time. We wrote algorithms to scan for flights violating standard aviation physics and commercial corridors, extreme heading reversals, bizarre holding loops, and steep altitude plunges.

When the radar map loaded, some of the patterns looked wild:

The Barcode Flight (Texas/Border): Flight N955LA spent nearly two hours flying 26 , 180° switchbacks back and forth across the sky. It covered 235 kilometers of flying just to end up 27 kilometers from where it started,an 8.7x detour.

The 7,000-Foot Plunge: Flight UAL2741 suddenly dropping over 7,300 feet in just 65 seconds (a descent rate over 7,300 ft/min) before recovering.

The Ghost Orbit: Flight N406LF was tracked in continuous, tight holding loops for almost 10 straight minutes, locked inside a tiny 20-kilometer perimeter.

Mach-Speed Telemetry Spikes: Multiple targets registering brief, erratic transponder speed spikes way past standard commercial velocities.

The crazy part is that this is happening above our heads every single day, completely invisible unless you know how to mathematically isolate it.

I made the entire project open source so anyone can inspect their own airspace. You don’t need paid api keys to run it , you just run the script and it launches an interactive radar map in your browser where you can click any anomaly to see its exact coordinates, descent rates, and turn math. (You can also just download the repo and double-click the HTML file to view the radar instantly).

The code, raw telemetry, and map files are here on GitHub: <a href=\"
Run the script on your area and zoom into your local airspace , u never know what u might find.

&; submitted by &; <a href=\" /u/aashvathgupta
<a href=\" &; <a href=\"",
